The eco-parks of the Riviera Maya each run their own hours and ticket tiers, and the differences matter when you are planning a day. This guide covers the practical details so you book the right pass the first time.
Typical opening hours
Most of the daytime parks open around 8:30 to 9:00 am and close in the late afternoon, around 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Xcaret stays open into the evening for its night show. Xplor runs a separate evening session, Xplor Fuego, from the late afternoon until around 11:30 pm. Always confirm the current hours on your booking, as they shift by season.
How the ticket tiers work
Each park sells layered tickets. A basic ticket covers entry and core activities. Plus or all inclusive tiers add the buffet, drinks, lockers and gear. Combo passes bundle two or more parks (for example Xcaret plus Xplor) at a discount over buying them separately. For most visitors the all inclusive tier is the best value once you factor in food.
What is included
Inclusions vary, so read the fine print. Common extras that are not always included: round trip transfer, professional photos, premium snorkel areas and locker rental. The all inclusive tiers fold most of these in. Life jackets and basic snorkel gear are usually free even on the lower tiers.
Booking tips
Book online ahead of time. Gate prices are noticeably higher than online rates, and popular dates sell out in high season. Booking through a platform with free cancellation lets you lock in a date and adjust if your plans change. Double check the date, the tier and whether transfer is included before you pay.
