What makes Xplor different
Xcaret is about culture and variety. Xel-Ha is about calm snorkeling. Xplor is about adrenaline. It is the only Xcaret group park focused entirely on physical activities in the Yucatan jungle and cenote system.
Every activity happens outdoors, most of them on or under ground level. You will get wet, muddy, tired and hungry. That is the point.
The 5 main activities
1. Zip line circuits
Xplor has 14 zip lines across two circuits. The longer one crosses over cenotes and jungle treetops with one stretch ending in a splashdown. Height restriction starts at 130 cm. Safety briefings are run in English and Spanish every 20 minutes.
2. Amphibious vehicles
Two seat off road vehicles that run on jungle trails, through mud and across shallow cenote pools. One person drives, the other holds on. Routes are 10 km each and take around 45 minutes. Valid driving license required for the driver.
3. Underground raft rivers
You paddle a raft with your hands through two underground river circuits lit with colored lights. The ceiling is full of stalactites, some close enough to touch. Water is around 22 degrees Celsius year round, bring a rash guard if you are sensitive to cold.
4. Stalactite cenote swim
A classic swim inside an open cenote with hanging stalactites. Life jackets are provided and required. This is the easiest activity and where most visitors relax between higher energy rides.
5. Hammock and buffet
Between activities, head to the main hammock area and the buffet. The all inclusive ticket covers unlimited buffet meals at two restaurants, drinks including beer and cocktails, and chocolate drinking hours in the afternoon.
Xplor Fuego, the night version
From 5:30 to 11:30 PM, Xplor transforms into Xplor Fuego with the same activities lit by torches and bonfires. It is cooler, less crowded and more atmospheric. Separate ticket, starts at $129. Combo day + Fuego tickets save around 20 percent.

Is Xplor worth it?
Yes, if you want adrenaline and do not mind physical activity. Not worth it if you prefer calm snorkeling or cultural experiences, in which case Xel-Ha or Xcaret are the picks. See the Xcaret vs Xel-Ha comparison for those two.
